I am from Rajasthan, India, and I grew up wearing those dresses and dancing those dances. I have gotten my hands done in Henna, and seen them blossom with colours. I have heard the folk tales which I accepted so naturally I never realized other people didn’t know them.

Then I lived in the Caribbean, and felt the sunshine, and the colors and that island life. I know what the Carnival sounds like, and what makes the people erupt with the accented laughter. 

The point is, I have lived in these gorgeous places but I never knew, fully, consciously, how beautiful they are. It’s now, when I am running this blog, that sometimes it hits me. 

I wonder how many other things around us are absolutely, totally gorgeous but we don’t ever fully appreciate them?
